Shoesday Tuesday = Shoesday. Selling some - MORE!! - shoes on Trademe, New Zealands own Ebay

These boots are to die  look at the acrylic heels!
But theyre a tad too small to be comfortable...
and they make me AN INSANELY TALL PERSON.

d

Bought both these pairs of shoes online
While I love them both, the heels are INSANE

If you could take an inch off the height I would wear the Sh*t out of these shoes
Love the blue croc!

These pretties were an online job from +Wild Pair
I actually emailed head office when they disappeared off their site

The heel/arch is very high so I just wear them when I know I wont be walking a lot!

I am slowly learning my lesson with online shopping.
Bags are good, Nail polishes, eyeshadows...
but not so much things you need to try on
and I know there are returns - but who can be bothered with that?
Answer: I should.

Sunday Baking - Melting moment Cookies - With a hint of ginger and Raspberry Buttercream icing.

Melting Moments with a hint of Ginger
Raspberry buttercream Icing

Ingredients - Cookies

200g soft butter
73g icing Sugar
1t Ground Ginger +
210g flour, sifted together

Ingredients - Icing

120g softened butter
200g icing sugar, sifted
25g raspberry Jam

Method - Cookies

Cream butter and sugar together until creamy and soft. Add ginger and flour sifted together and stir until a smooth batter forms. Don't overmix as your cookies will flatten when baking.

Now, you can either put into a piping bag and make pretty rosettes with a star nozzle or just form into balls on lined baking trays and flatten with a fork (as I have done here in the picture)

Bake cookies low and slow to encourage a melt in your mouth tender result.
140 Centigrade for approx 20-25 mins. Cookies should smell delicious but not be coloring just yet. Cool on tray for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

To make Icing:

Beat/whip butter and icing sugar together until light and creamy.
Stir through jam.
Use icing to sandwich cookies together.

Try not to eat them all in one go!

This recipe for melting moments is so endlessly adaptable,
you can really try any flavours with it.

Lemon Melting Moments - Coming soon to a blog post near you

Happy Baking all!

Shoesday Tuesday = Shoesday. Selling some shoes on Trademe, New Zealands own Ebay

I love these shoes but in about 7 years Ive worn them maybe ONCE! So they're GONE
They've literally met their reserve and are GOING.

I like these shoes, but I've had enough of them
They feel dated now, someone else can enjoy them.

I bought these shoes on a whim and don't love them
so thought I would see how they do in a sale.

As you can see I buy shoes first, ask questions later...

I really want some over-the-knee boots...
These could do it: Diba Knee high boot from +Wild Pair

Aaaaaand I bought these yesterday...

All in all the downsizing aint going so great.

Happy Shoesday All.

**update**
I also just bought some new black pumps!
At least I'm off-loading... as well as re-loading?

NOTD - My version of Cupcake Nails, a super fun nail art tutorial

So, these were mildly successful, so I'll show you how I got here
Remember: Patience.

Step 1: Paint yo nails...

Step 2: With a white striper (or white gel pen)
draw your icing top and vertical lines down to your cuticles...

Step 3: Fill the icing top in with white.
Add some glitter nail polish for sprinkles!
Do a dot for the cherry on top.

Et Voila!!!
I've put glitter nailpolish over the top to look like sprinkles.

Not as pretty (or as edible) as these cupcakes I made for
SPCA (Society for the protection of Animals) Cupcake day!

*cough* If your don't look like this, soz dunno why!?
OOH! Always add a top coat to seal it all up!

Sunday Baking - soft, tender freshly baked Lemonade Scones - Ridiculously easy recipe

Lemonade Scones

Ingredients:

512g Flour, sifted
4t Baking powder
Pinch salt
300ml double cream
300ml lemonade or soda water

Method:

Sift flour, Baking Powder and salt together several times to aerate.
Make a well in the center and pour on cream and lemonade.
Mix until a soft dough is formed (never over-mix your scones, they'll be tough)

Turn dough out onto a floured surface and dust with a little more flour.
push out (with your hands, not a rolling pin) the dough to form a rectangle shape.
Cut into 12 equal sized pieces.
Arrange on lined baking trays and bake at 220 centigrade for 10-12 mins until golden brown.

Remove and cool wrapped in a clean tea towel to keep fresh.

Go nuts!

You could add cheese for cheese scones, or dates, or sultanas.

I served mine with butter and some home-made kiwifruit jam from the local farmers market!
These freeze well - keep in a plastic container, just refresh in the microwave for 20 seconds.

Happy Baking all

Sunday Instagram Catch-up - Cats, Shoes, Cats, Baking, Cats... Scenery

This is a beer coaster we picked up in our UK travels from Melton Mowbrey
Pub called Anne of Cleaves with some of the building dated back to 1327..
Anne, Henry VIII wife, was gifted the property in the divorce.

There's a hole in the coaster you stick your bent finger into to make a bum!

Bought this little beauty from Spongedrop Cakery on Salisbury St, Mt Maunganui
She's a Lemon Cheescake Cupcake. SO. AMAZEBALLS.

Took this picture of the Mount after purchasing my cupcake
The water is so blue! Doesn't feel like Autumn.

Had a new ceiling fan installed - Norman the Cat is a little unsure of it
Read: he HATES it.

New knobs on the desk in my painting room
They're faux crystal darhling.

Let us end the adventure on this ridiculously foodgasmey
Blueberry and Raspberry Scone

Seriously Gudz Fudz

Feel free to follow along @Paulashoefiend

Happy Easter all.

Closet/Wardrobe Organizing - Part 5: Bedroom, Pinterest Inspired Organization

Left: Bedside Table - I painted it myself, was just plain pine. I like to keep the bedroom as clutter-free as possible, but being an avid acquirer of new shiny things I tend to get messy.
As long as everything has a home though, I can keep it tidy
(as long as I don't buy NEW STUFF!)
Right: This shelving sits next to my closet/Wardrobe under my Necklace Cork-board.
It holds my Nailpolish (in the Green Box)
and two pairs of impractical shoes I bought online... Online shopping aye, it'll get ya.

And this is how I organize my HATS! I made up this organizer all by myself, thought I was ever so clever, until I saw Geneva from "a Pair and a Spare" and her hat storage solution...
SO MUCH BETTER than mine... but I can always borrow her idea at a later date.

Green, pink and purple are my favorite colors for interiors.
 Bedside cabinet - Dressing table
Shoe cabinet, full length mirror and Hats

I'm pretty happy with the bedroom now.
Feels Less cluttered and a much nicer place to chill and play dress-up.

Sunday Baking: Foodgasm Blondies - seriously, stop what youre doing and MAKE THESE NOW! Oreo & Dark Choc chunk White Choc Blondies

LOOK OUT:
Serious foodgasm follows...

Ingredients:

110gms butter melted
100gms White Choc Melted
1 Egg
200gms Icing Sugar
1T vanilla
90 gms All purpose flour
38 gms Cornflour
18 Oreo Cookies cut into large pieces
(the larger the pieces the more "Oreo-ish" your slice)
100 gms Chocolate chopped into chunks
Handful of M&Ms ( I used Pineapple #yum)

Method:

Melt Butter and White Choc together, cool. Beat egg and vanilla into butter mixture. Stir in flours until JUST combined (don't overmix) Stir in Oreos and Dark choc chunks - there are more goodies than batter - don't worry!
Press into a lined tin and sprinkle over M&Ms. Bake at 170 Celsius for about 30-40 minutes depending on your oven. It is cooked when slightly coloring on top and setting on the edges.
It will still be fudgy on the inside so try not to overbake it (I did ever so slightly and it STILL TASTES AMAZING)

*Drools Obscenely

These blondies are so rich and fudgy and chocolatey,
they may just change your life >:D

I adapted this recipe from Averie Cooks' Original here
because I cannot leave well alone!

Happy Sunday Baking everyone
SERIOUSLY - MAKE THESE!!!
