Body Shop

One day in Body Shop...

So in Hereford whilst shopping happily my companion wanted to go into the Body Shop - I wasn't a huge fan as in New Zealand it's quite expensive but followed her in all the same - however I was pleasantly surprised and ended up buying a facial regimen for myself and because I spent more than 18 quid I got a free Full size body butter!  Woop Woop.
Seaweed sounds gross - but it smells really nice!
This skin system is for people with oily skin but don't get blemishes - clarifying they call it.  I've only been using it a month now and I can't see a HUGE difference - but my skin feels nice and soft when I wake up.
Pink Grapefruit Body Butter Smells Amazing

I don't usually go in for body butter - a bit greasy - but sh*t was free!  Not going to say no.
I'm a real sucker for cute packaging (and Pink) I'll give the seaweed a go.

What are your beauty routinesAre there any products that work amazingly/badly for you?
I for one love Garnier's BB cream in medium - but I know not everyone's a fan

MAXIMINI - Jimmy Choo's Resturant

File under food:

So I didn't even know about this place, my sister picked it our for us (she knows I love shoes and "Asian" cuisine) It's Jimmy Choo's restaurant!  There are few clues to this - until you read his quote in the menu and see the beautiful shoe sketches hanging on the walls - nothing could be more conducive to digestion ;-)

We had the fragrant crispy duck served with
cucumber, spring onion and pancakes to start
followed by the Hong Kong style Seabass,
Malaysian Chicken Curry, Stir fry broccoli
with garlic and an egg fried rice - which was
enough food for 4 people but we somehow
made our way through it!
The decor is beautiful - I took my own photos
and I've mixed them in with a few from the
website.  If your'e ever looking for a restuarant
just down the road from Paddington station
(that's NOT hideously overpriced) and you like
fresh, hot yummy fudz you should check it out!
I can definitely recommend it :-)  The wait staff
were amazingly attentive, our teapot nor our
cups were never empty!

Where we sat - nice comfy booth.
Looking at this picture I can taste it - torture.

I'm not one to take pictures of the bathrooms but I just thought the designer had
made the most of the small space.

It's funny - before we went for dinner we were at the Sawyers Arms (pub on London Street in Paddington) and I was showing off my recently acquired Kraftwerk 1&2 vinyls and this guy who had been to three of their gigs at the Tate Modern saw and came over to show me his photos of the show!  He said they were Amazeballs  His Pictures looked awesome!  I was kicking myself I didn't go to ANY
(I found out the week after they'd been - Murphy's Law)

What do you think of MaxiMini?
 Now I'm Jonesing for Duck...

Have a great week kidz

So I tagged along to Southampton with my sister and her partner when they went to visit with family
AND WAS BLOWN AWAY - it is a truly beautiful city - with picturesque sea views, a beautifully maintained medieval city, fantastic shopping and a famous history - Titanic began it's voyage from Southampton.
I spent the day shopping, walking and generally soaking up all that Southampton had to offer.

Look at the beautiful weather that day!
Medieval merchant's house - 14th Century.  Thought to be the earliest complete
medieval house surviving in England.  It's a museum but was closed that day :-(
Can you imagine living in a city where this view is everyday?
City Wall - Circa 14th Century - Now a picturesque walking bridge
and great photo taking vantage!
The Bargate - Built 1180.
View of West Quay Shopping Center from the city walls.
Statue of Southampton Mayor John le Flemming 1298 - 1336

And some of my purchases that day...

Loiuse Gray makeup brush set from Top Shop - these are so silky soft.
No longer available online - sorry cats.

Accessorize - Hat and bag.  This bag is so awesome!  You fill it to the brim and effortlessly chuck it over your shoulder!
Classic White Blazer from Zara

Medieval Merchant's Hall 15th Century - Being a seaside city trade was a big part of Southampton's history.

I miss you Southampton - I want to go back!
I also wish the weather was more like this all the time!

By the way - I leave links for you guys so you can peruse online at your leisure - I don't receive anything from company's if you choose to click on them.  #I_don't_blog_for_the_fame_or_riches ;-)
